Who We Are…

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”  Jeremiah 1:5

From the Spiritual womb of Bishop Eddie L. Long, God birthed The Embassy Church, a satellite church of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.  In May of 2007, Bishop Long received this word from the Lord and started making plans to bring this vision to fruition.  To fulfill this great vision, God placed in the spirit of Bishop Long, a mighty man of God with the heart of King David, Apostle Kenneth K. Law and his beautiful wife, the Elect Lady LaWanda R. Law.

After several months of planning, The Embassy Church had its first service on September 30, 2007, in Pooler, GA, a part of the metro area of Savannah, GA, in the West Chatham Middle School gymnasium.  With Apostle Law’s first message to the masses entitled “Jesus Wept . . . It’s time to come out of the Tomb”, many were saved, and gave their life to Christ, and joined in the immediate growth of The Embassy Church.

When people come to The Embassy Church, there should be such an encounter and an experience with the power and love of God, that lives are forever changed.  How does the ministry support and grow that change in the people? “From The Parking Lot To The Pulpit!”  Birthed out of the spirit of Apostle Law, “From the Parking Lot to the Pulpit” is the experience and spirit a person should encounter when they come to The Embassy Church.  The experience and spirit are Love, Excellence, Consistency, Accountability, Structure, Godly Character, Integrity, Customer Service, Passion, Team Work, Responsibility, and Communication.

With a foundation based on love and prayer, the Vision God has given Apostle Law is to “rebuild and restore the family locally and globally”. With a focus on the youth and family, Apostle Law quickly challenged the membership, as it continued to grow, to begin closing the door to those areas in our lives that keeps us from advancing in the Kingdom. Areas like, spirituality, family, finances, health and wellness, and community and civic engagement have been addressed. The challenge was to look over our lives to ensure that we were all in right standing with the word of God, in order to position ourselves for the blessing of God.

In the ensuing months, membership continued to grow to over 200.  Being led by the Holy Spirit, Apostle Law continued to speak to those dry areas in the lives of many, as healing and wholeness were being restored to the family.  This ministry reflects the spirit and heart of Apostle Law, to rebuild and restore family, which is manifested in the many families that have joined the membership.

As a result of Apostle Law building the people to serve and love, the membership extended beyond the four walls of the church to reach out to the community through senior citizens home outreaches, participating in clothing and food drives, colleges, schools and the surrounding community.  In Fall of 2008, Apostle Law, was named the Chaplin of the Savannah State University Football Program. The Embassy Church also became a recognized ministry of Savannah State University and began holding regular Sunday evening services in an effort to reach the college students.  In February 2008, “The Awakening”, a one night revival, was birthed out of the spirit of Apostle Law.  “The Awakening” enabled the Citizen of The Embassy Church to open its arms and heart, in the spirit of fellowship and love, to the residents of the city of Glennville, GA.

As The Embassy Church continued to blaze forward with a Kingdom Agenda, God showered His favor and love upon Apostle Law, First Lady Law and the The Embassy Church membership.   On Resurrection Sunday 2008, Apostle Law announced that The Embassy Church would be moving into its permanent location, further marking that The Embassy Church is here to stay and is relevant to this region.

Apostle Law sees The Embassy Church as a Life Center, ordained and planted by God to impact the Coastal Region and beyond. Through love and prayer, each person, family and youth will come to know and understand the love of Christ and to walk in the full image of God’s embodying power, provision and endless possibilities in the Kingdom.

The Embassy Church is commissioned to love and serve the people, win souls, make disciples, change the culture and advance the Kingdom of God.

Apostle Law and First Lady Law have been married for over 12 years.  Although they do not have biological children as of yet, they proudly claim the three thousand children that God has allowed them to serve as surrogate parents.  They are clearly establishing a living legacy of hope and a special anointing to turn the hearts of many towards the heart and the voice of the Lord.  Under the leading of The Holy Spirit, they both walk in a posture of servanthood and with an understanding of “to whom much is given, much is required.”

Since September 2007, The Embassy Church has been growing strong in the Lord displaying many signs and wonders of the Kingdom of God, making a bold statement that The Embassy Church is REAL:

RELATIONAL   EMPOWERING   ATTRACTING   LOVING
